Testimony · The Path to Composition An August Evening in Okzhetpes In August 1990, the composer joined a group on an evening walk in Burabay and spoke about singers and kuishi. Analytical note · The Lives of Works Daybreak Instead of Night Across 105 bars, the Nocturne moves from E-flat major through the unease of F minor to a shortened reprise and a ppp (pianississimo) marking — an instruction to play as softly as possible. Object card · The Lives of Works A Play on Two Records In 1979 Melodiya released the Kazakh Theatre for Young Audiences production Shyq Bermes Shyghybai and Aldar-Kose on two records, with music by Kenzhebek Kumysbekov. Listening · Music Among People What the Old Player Preserved 41 minutes and 4 seconds of music: eight orchestral recordings by Kenzhebek Kumysbekov — from a waltz to a kui-poem (*kui* is a Kazakh instrumental piece) — were preserved by his family and can be heard in the museum today. Chronology · Music Among People A Name Among Names An autumn edition of Tamasha in 1983, a Qazaqtelefilm production in 1992, a Personality tribute in 2000 and two November broadcasts in 2021 — thirty-eight years in which Kenzhebek Kumysbekov's name moved from a line in a shared list to the title.
